Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about booking premium mobile detailing with Uplift. Still have a question? Call or text (916) 955-4597.

How much does mobile detailing cost in Sacramento?

Our mobile detailing starts at $110 for an exterior Wash & Protect or an Interior Refresh. A full Exterior Detail is $180, a full Interior Detail is $200, and our most popular full inside-and-out package, The Uplift, is $340 for a sedan. Final pricing depends on vehicle size and condition — book online or call (916) 955-4597 for a free quote. For the full breakdown, read our 2026 Sacramento detailing cost guide.

How much more does it cost to detail an SUV or truck?

Listed prices are for sedans and coupes. Plan on roughly $40–$65 more for an SUV, crossover or minivan and $55–$80 more for a full-size truck or van per service; combo packages combine both services' upcharges (The Uplift, for example, is $340 for a sedan and $450 for an SUV). Oversized and XL vehicles are quoted individually. You'll always get an exact, all-in price before we start — no surprises.

How much does it cost to detail a really dirty car?

Base pricing assumes normal condition. Heavily soiled or neglected vehicles may add $50–$100, confirmed on arrival before we start — never after. Send a few photos when you book and we'll give you an accurate quote up front.

Do you offer a first-time discount?

Yes — new customers save $30 on their first detail. Mention it in the notes of your online booking request, or when you call or text. We also run a referral program: refer a friend and you both get $25 off.

Are you really 100% mobile? Do you come to me?

Yes. We bring everything to you — our own water, power and professional-grade products — and detail at your home, office or apartment anywhere in Greater Sacramento, including Roseville, Folsom, Rocklin, Granite Bay and Elk Grove. There's no shop to visit and no waiting in line.

Do I need to provide water or electricity?

No. We arrive fully self-contained with our own water and power, so all we need is access to your vehicle and a little room to work. Zero setup on your end.

Do I need to be home during the detail?

Not necessarily. Many customers leave the keys or unlock the car and go about their day — we text you when we arrive and again when we finish. If you'd rather be there to walk us through it, that works too. Whatever's easiest for you.

Can you detail my car in an apartment or condo parking lot?

In most cases, yes. Because we bring our own water and power, we don't need a hookup — a standard parking space or carport gives us plenty of room. Some complexes have rules, so check with your property and tell us where to find the vehicle when you book.

What areas do you serve?

Sacramento, Roseville, Folsom, Granite Bay, Rocklin, Elk Grove, Citrus Heights, Carmichael, Orangevale, Antelope, Fair Oaks, Rancho Cordova, Lincoln, Loomis, El Dorado Hills, Natomas, West Sacramento, Auburn, Galt and surrounding areas. Don't see your city? Just ask.

How do I book an appointment?

Send a booking request online in about a minute — we confirm your time by call or text — or just call or text (916) 955-4597 directly. We detail 7 days a week, 7 AM to 6 PM, including weekends, and can usually get you in the same week. Weekend slots fill fast, so booking ahead is best.

Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?

Of course — life happens. Just give us a heads-up by call or text and we'll move your appointment to a time that works for you.

How long does a detail take?

An Interior or Exterior Detail runs about 1.5–2.5 hours; our full Uplift package is roughly 3.5–4 hours for a sedan and longer for SUVs and trucks. Ceramic coatings and paint correction are a full-day job. We'll give you a clear time window when you book.

What if it rains or it's winter?

We work year-round, and light weather usually isn't a problem for washes and interior work. Ceramic coatings and paint correction need dry, shaded conditions, so we'll reschedule those at no charge if the weather doesn't cooperate. We always stay in touch about the forecast.

What's the difference between a wash and a detail?

A Wash & Protect ($110) is a thorough maintenance wash with spray wax. An Exterior Detail ($180) adds iron decontamination, clay bar and a 6-month ceramic wax for a much deeper clean and longer protection. We're happy to recommend the right one for your car.

What's included in an interior detail?

A full vacuum, shampoo extraction of seats and carpet, steam cleaning, stain treatment, odor neutralizer, leather conditioning, and deep-cleaned doors, console, vents and glass. Every surface of your cabin restored, right in your driveway.

What's included in an exterior detail?

A hand wash, iron decontamination, clay bar, wheel and tire cleaning and decontamination, trim dressing, streak-free glass, and a 6-month ceramic wax. It removes grime a regular wash leaves behind and brings back a deep, reflective shine.

Do you remove pet hair and odors?

Yes. We remove pet hair as a $65–$85 add-on depending on the amount, and our $110 ozone treatment permanently eliminates pet, smoke and food odors at the source. Our Interior Reset package ($285) bundles a full Interior Detail with ozone treatment and fabric protection — a great value for families and resale prep.

How much is a ceramic coating?

Mobile ceramic coatings start at $550 for Shield (1–2 years), $900 for Guardian (3 years) and $1,300 for Elite (5 years), sedan pricing. Every coating includes a prep wash and clay bar. Bundle with paint correction and save $100.

How long does a ceramic coating last?

It depends on the package: Shield lasts 1–2 years, Guardian 3 years and Elite 5 years with proper care. All are hydrophobic, make washing easier and add serious gloss. We apply them on-site, weather permitting.

Is ceramic coating worth it?

For most drivers, yes — it adds years of hydrophobic protection and deep gloss and makes washing far easier. It also helps protect your paint's value. We offer 1–2, 3 and 5-year systems to fit your budget.

Do you do paint correction?

Yes. We offer 1-step enhancement from $350, 2-step correction from $575, and full multi-stage correction by quote. Machine polishing removes swirls, scratches and oxidation to restore deep, mirror-like gloss — and it's the ideal prep before a ceramic coating.

Will paint correction remove all my scratches?

Polishing removes swirls and many light-to-moderate scratches. Very deep scratches that go through the clear coat can be reduced but not always fully removed. We inspect your paint first and recommend the right stage honestly.

Do I need paint correction before a ceramic coating?

For the best result, yes — a coating locks in the paint's current condition, so correcting swirls first means the gloss is sealed in. Bundle paint correction and a coating together and save $100.

Do you detail Teslas, EVs, luxury and exotic vehicles?

Yes — from daily drivers to Teslas, EVs, exotics and classics. We use paint-safe, EV-friendly products and adapt our process to your vehicle's specific finish, giving high-value cars the extra care they deserve.

Do you offer monthly or recurring detailing?

Yes. Our Monthly plan ($140/mo) includes one Essential detail a month, and our Bi-Weekly plan ($105/visit) keeps your car pristine year-round. Both include priority scheduling and 10% off add-ons, with no contracts — cancel anytime.

Do you do fleet or commercial detailing?

Yes. We set up recurring mobile detailing for dealerships, rideshare and delivery drivers, sales and real-estate fleets, contractors and property managers across Sacramento — any fleet size, with volume pricing and consolidated invoicing. Call (916) 955-4597 for a commercial quote.

Can I bundle services and save?

Yes. Pairing an Interior and Exterior Detail as The Uplift saves $40, and booking paint correction with a ceramic coating saves $100. Our combo packages are the best value — we'll help you build the right one for your car.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — Uplift Mobile Detailing is fully licensed and insured, and every detail is backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. You get careful, professional service and real peace of mind on every job.

What if I'm not happy with the result?

We don't leave until you're thrilled. Every detail is backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee — if something isn't right, we make it right, free. With a 5.0 rating across 274+ Google reviews, your satisfaction is the entire reason we stay booked.
