The Craft

Four Stages To A Finish Worth Keeping

The Granite Bay order isn't a wash — it's a sequence. Each stage is approved by you before the next begins.

Stage 1

Assess

Paint is inspected in real light before anything touches it — depth of defects, prior work, what the finish can safely give. You get the honest read, including when a lighter touch is the smarter call.

Stage 2

Correct

Machine correction in measured stages removes swirls, water etching and wash marring. On black and other dark finishes — Granite Bay's favorites — this step is where the mirror comes from.

Stage 3

Protect

Ceramic coating locks in the corrected finish: years of UV resistance, deep gloss and paint that sheds oak fallout with a rinse instead of a fight.

Stage 4

Maintain

A standing cadence of maintenance details keeps the result permanent. Same crew each visit, inside your gates, on your calendar — the finish never gets the chance to slide.

Dark Paint Country

Black Paint Shows Everything. Good.

Luxury SUVs and German sedans in black, obsidian and deep metallics dominate these driveways — finishes that broadcast every swirl and every water spot. That's not a problem to hide; it's the canvas correction was made for. When the defects are gone, dark paint pays it all back at once.

The honest primer before you invest: is paint correction worth it? And when you're ready: our correction service in detail.

How It Works Here

Built For Estates, Gates & Collections

Gated Communities & Estate Drives

Los Lagos, Wexford, Hidden Lakes, the Douglas corridor estates — gate codes, staff coordination and privacy expectations are normal parts of our workday, not complications. Tell us the access routine once and it's handled every visit after.

Multi-Vehicle Garages

The daily SUV, the weekend car and the one under the cover don't need the same service on the same schedule. We'll build a rotation that gives each vehicle what it actually needs — and detail several back-to-back when that's the efficient call.

Oak Canopy & Lake Air

Granite Bay's oaks drop sap and pollen strings across long private drives, and Folsom Lake weekends add launch-ramp grime to tow rigs. Both bond hard in summer heat; both are exactly what decontamination washes and coated paint exist for.

Deadline Detailing

When The Car Has A Date To Keep

Some details have a deadline attached: listing photos for a private sale, a graduation weekend, a wedding with the good car on duty, the buyer flying in Saturday. Granite Bay generates more of these than anywhere we work, and the playbook is simple — tell us the date and what the car needs to be, and we'll work backward from it. A pre-sale correction-and-coat can genuinely move a negotiation; listing photos taken the afternoon we finish do the rest.

  • Pre-sale: corrected paint photographs like a different car
  • Event weeks: we schedule the detail two or three days ahead, not morning-of
  • Give the deadline at booking and we'll protect it on our calendar

And the unglamorous local reality: oak debris. Granite Bay's winter storms bring down twigs, leaf mats and tannin-heavy litter across long drives and parked cars, and spring drops pollen strings thick enough to rake. Both stain paint where they sit wet. Post-storm cleanups and pollen-season decon washes are standing work for us here — the cadence clients simply fold it into their rotation and never see the stains at all.

Not sure whether the paint needs a full correction before an event? Send photos in good light — we'll tell you straight, and the correction page shows what each stage buys you.

On Cadence

What A Standing Schedule Looks Like

Every household's rotation is its own, but the shape is usually similar — here's an example of how we'd structure a three-vehicle garage:

  • The daily SUV — maintenance detail monthly; it does the school runs and the lake tows, so it gets the most frequent care
  • The weekend car — quarterly full details with an annual paint inspection; driven for joy, kept flawless
  • The covered one — a gentle seasonal service: dust-off, leather feed, tire and trim care, no aggressive polishing
  • Everything — same crew, pre-arranged gate access, calendar invites you never think about

A word on how we operate on estate properties, because it matters here: arrival windows we actually hit, one point of contact, the work area left exactly as found, and the same familiar faces at every visit — this is an owner-led crew, not a rotating roster. If household staff manage the vehicles, we're happy to coordinate directly with them and keep you out of the logistics entirely.

Tow rigs get their own attention: boat-launch weekends leave ramp grime and water-line minerals on lower panels and wheels, and those wash out best with a decon-forward exterior visit soon after — not a quick rinse that grinds it around.

Where We Work

Around Granite Bay

Los Lagos & Treelake

Signature gated streets where most of our standing-cadence clients live.

Quarry Ponds & Eureka Grove

Newer enclaves off Douglas — protection-first work on newer finishes.

Hidden Lakes & Wexford

Estate lots under heavy oak: sap season is real, and so is the remedy.

The lake side

Folsom Lake access streets — tow vehicles and weekend rigs get decon-forward care.

Between the lake and Douglas Boulevard, if it's Granite Bay, we're already routed through it — reach out.

Clients Put It Better Than We Could

Verbatim from Google — including one who'd drive up from San Jose for this crew.

"I’m beyond impressed with the work they did on my car. Every little detail was taken care of, inside and out. Super friendly, professional, and my car has never looked better! I would drive down from San Jose just to get my car done by them again"

"Gave Uplift Mobile a supreme challenge today, a 2002 Ford F150. I'm the original owner and wanted my truck to get some TLC. From top to bottom and inside-out, including engine, beautiful job. THANKS"

Granite Bay FAQ

Answered Before You Ask

Do you work on exotics, PPF and matte finishes?

We detail high-value vehicles regularly and adjust products and process to the finish — including wrapped and coated cars. If a vehicle needs something outside our lane, we'll say so plainly rather than experiment on your paint.

How does access work in a gated community?

However suits you: gate codes, guard-list entries, or coordination with household staff. We confirm the routine when you book, arrive when we say we will, and leave the work area exactly as we found it.

What's the right service order — correction first or coating first?

Correction, then coating, always: a ceramic layer locks in whatever is underneath it, flaws included. If the paint is already excellent, we skip straight to protection and tell you so — you shouldn't buy a stage you don't need.

My cars are garaged and barely driven. What do they still need?

Less — but not nothing. Dust settles, covers rub, and leather still dries out over time. A gentle maintenance detail a few times a year preserves a collection car without over-polishing paint that doesn't need it.

Can you keep all our vehicles on a schedule?

That's our favorite kind of client. We'll set a standing rotation — say, the dailies monthly and the garage queens quarterly — and you'll never think about booking again.

We're on a well — does that change anything?

Only for the better: we bring our own water, so nothing draws from your system, and well-water spotting on glass and paint is a problem we remove rather than create. If sprinklers on well water have been etching spots into your finish, point it out — that's a known fix.

Can vehicles be serviced while we're traveling?

Yes — with gate access and a keys arrangement, the rotation continues whether you're home or not. Many clients prefer it: the cars are done between trips, and the after-photos land in your messages wherever you are.

What does this level of care cost?

The menu is the same everywhere we work — no estate markup. Individual services begin at $110, the complete interior-and-exterior package at $340 for a sedan, coatings at $550, with multi-stage correction quoted after we see the paint in person. What Granite Bay clients buy most is the correct-protect-maintain sequence — priced as stages, so you approve each step.
